Welcome speech to the conference participants

Dear participants of the conference, dear students!

Let me greet you on behalf of “Uzbekneftegaz” JSC at the annual student scientific conference “Oil and Gas - 2019”.

The holding of this conference promotes popularization of scientific activity among the youth, as well as enhancing the level of professional education of future highly qualified specialists.

2019 has been declared as “The year of active investment and social development”. In the sphere of economic development, there is a gradual transition to a new model of innovative development based on advanced ideas, smart technologies and know - how.

The comprehensive range of issues raised at the conference including foundations of mineral exploration and prospecting and legal aspects of subsoil use, will contribute not only to the solution of the objectives set forth, but also to the research of innovative ways of the development of the oil and gas industry.

The holding of this conference perfectly indicates the desire of students in mastering their future profession in the current market conditions.

The President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev pays a particular attention to the youth policy issues, education and upbringing, integration of science, education and production.

I would like particularly to highlight the Resolution of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan as of July 27, 2017 "On measures to further increase participation of industries and spheres of the economy in improving the quality of training of specialists with higher education".

The integration of education, science and production will enable to use the potential of educational, scientific and industrial organizations in mutual interests, including in the field of training, qualification upgrading and retraining of personnel, joint research, introduction of research developments, etc.

The mechanisms of integration of education, science and production that are successfully implemented in our country provide a good foundation for further innovative development in all spheres.

I would like to specifically mention the activities of the Branch of the Russian State University of Oil and Gas named after I.M.Gubkin in Tashkent, where for over 10 years they have successfully been educating highly qualified specialists for the fuel and energy complex of our country, focused on the practical application of modern engineering knowledge and advanced technologies.

The best students of the Branch are annually awarded with the breastplate “Star of Gubkin University”, participating and winning at international Internet competitions and conferences.

I am sure that this conference will give an additional impulse to deepening the integration between production, science and education, as well as systematically attracting scientific potential of young scientists and researchers to solving scientific and technical problems of the development of the oil and gas industry in our republic.

Once again I would like to wish you success in the fruitful work of the conference, and great victories to our dear students - participants of the conference!
