Quality and environmental safety above all else
On December 20, 2022 in groups UEE-19-01/02 acting professor of the “Economics of oil and gas” department Uralov A.B. organized a field-trip to the Joint-Stock Company “UzAuto Motors Powertrain”.
“UzAuto Motors Powertrain” JSC was founded in 2008 for the production of gasoline and bi-fuel internal combustion engines. “UzAuto Motors Powertrain” JSC is part of the holding company “Uzavtosanoat” JSC. The joint stock company specializes in the production of B-DOHC engines with a displacement of 1249 and 1485 cm3 for Spark, Cobalt, Jentra and Nexia 3 cars.
The plant’s products meet the requirements of quality standards and the General Motors production system - GMS (Global Production System). The company is the first and only plant for the production of aluminum cylinder heads in Central Asia.
Upon arrival, the students watched the video about the history and development of the plant and explained the safety rules when moving around the plant. Further, employees of the HR department acquainted the students with the production and technological processes of the company with a visit to the main production workshops of the plant. Students got acquainted with the work of the foundry, workshops for machining parts and assembling engines. It should be noted that since December 1, 2022, the assembly of 2 versions of CSS Prime engines of the atmospheric and turbo brand with a working volume of 1199 cm3 for Onix and Tracker cars has been mastered.
The enterprise is equipped with latest technological equipment for melting and casting aluminum, heat treatment, processing of the main parts of engines: cylinder blocks, crankshafts, camshafts. Two assembly lines are mounted here, as well as control and measuring mechanisms are installed. Modern technology allows you to constantly monitor the entire technological process and product quality, at the same time it fully complies with international environmental safety standards.
