Branch of the Russian State University of Oil and Gas (NRU) named after I.M. Gubkin in Tashkent and the Academy of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Uzbekistan have agreed upon mutual

On February 19, 2021 the delegation from the Academy of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Uzbekistan visited Branch of the Russian State University of Oil and Gas named after I.M. Gubkin in Tashkent.

The following officers attended the meeting: Berdiev Kabul Raimovich - Head of the Academy of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Uzbekistan and Tokhtamuratov Dilshod Midkhatovich - Deputy Head of the Academy of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

As the Executive Director of the Branch, Professor A. Magrupov noted: “Enterprises in the oil and gas industry represent a significant complex of objects. Each of them has specific characteristics. Ensuring industrial safety at such facilities takes into account the presence of a large volume of substances with increased flammability and explosion hazard. Many technological processes at facilities are associated with high temperatures and pressures, the use of open flames, the presence of flammable and combustible liquids, flammable gases, fire and explosion hazardous installations, substances and materials. The increased development of the oil and gas industry complicates the requirements for ensuring the industrial safety of production facilities - oil and gas wells, tank farms, oil treatment plants, oil and gas pipelines, etc.”.

In this regard, concluding long-term cooperation agreements with the Academy of the Ministry of Emergencies is of great practical importance.

In turn, the head of the Academy of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Uzbekistan K.R. Berdiev noted: “We have specialized training grounds where cadets and students practice actions in emergency situations. As a rule, these are typical situations where it is important to develop a fast response algorithm. However, in order to practice actions in unique situations, the creation of a special scientific and practical testing ground is being discussed, where representatives of different scientific fields could simulate various emergencies and study the mechanisms for eliminating their consequences. Among other things, this should also become the subject of our cooperation with the Branch”.

By the results of the visit, agreements have been reached on the joint holding of scientific and practical conferences, seminars, webinars and meetings, the implementation of projects, the creation of methodological developments and programs. In addition, it is scheduled to use scientific and pedagogical potential of both sides, develop library and publishing cooperation and exchange information.

The parties agreed to conclude an agreement on long-term cooperation, the purpose of which will be to raise efficiency of research, educational, methodological and practical activities.
