Urgent topic: against corruption - in word and deed
The seminar on the topic “A sphere without corruption” was held at the Branch of the Russian State University of Oil and Gas (NRU) named after I.M. Gubkin in Tashkent.
The seminar participants - the faculty members and staff of the Branch - examined in detail the main provisions, the essence and significance of the State program “Sphere without corruption”.
In addition, within the framework of the event, an exchange of views took place on raising the legal awareness and legal culture among the students of the Branch, forming an intolerant attitude towards the negative phenomenon in society as a whole, implementing measures to prevent corruption in all areas of the university and other relevant aspects.
As the speaker, Dildora Ulugbekovna Abdullaeva, senior lecturer of the Social and Humanitarian Disciplines department, emphasized that according to the Presidential Decree “On Measures to Further Improve the Anti-Corruption System in the Republic of Uzbekistan” dated May 27 this year, from August 1, the state program “Sphere without corruption” has been implemented in the field of universities of the country. Pointing to the relevance of the event, the head of state emphasized that "the success of any reform in the country depends, first of all, on education."
On May 24 and 28 this year, the President Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a series of meetings with the heads of higher educational institutions, professors and teachers, as well as representatives of the scientific community, in which a delegation consisting of management, teachers and students of the Branch participated. Having deeply analyzed the negative phenomena in the field of education, Shavkat Mirziyoyev harshly condemned them and pointed out the danger of the harm done, saying that corruption is the biggest threat and the number one enemy for the entire education system.
The seminar participants noted that at the new stage of development of Uzbekistan, the head of our country laid the foundation for a comprehensive approach to effectively combat the negative phenomenon. In particular, the Strategy for Action in the five priority areas of the development of Uzbekistan in 2017-2021 has become a historical program document aimed, in essence, including the eradication of corruption.
Emphasizing the relevance of the topic raised by the President of Uzbekistan, the seminar noted a worthy contribution to the development of the Branch of the faculty, whose representatives, continuing the traditions of the Russian higher technical school, formed distinctive forms and teaching methods that meet the needs of the oil and gas industry of Uzbekistan. From the first day of the establishment of the Branch, Prof. A. Magrupov, Associate Professor Sh. Ravilov, Senior Lecturer N. Nadyrova, Head University Professors: Director of the Branch A. Maksimenko, Head of the Department of the Department of “General Chemistry and Oil and Gas Chemistry” Vladimir Rybalchenko, Head of the “Mathematics Department and computer science” Nikolay Gamkrelidze have been working here. The Academician of the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences, professor of the Department of Technology of Geological and Geophysical Exploration, doctor of geological and mineralogical sciences S. The continuity of generations has become a good tradition of the Branch, when graduates of the Branch come to teach - at the end of the master's program of the head university - including Khayot Ibragimov, the youngest assistant professor of the republic, Mirzaanvar Akhmedov, Zakir Usmanov, Ksenia Tokareva and others. The continuation by graduates of the Branch of Education in the magistracy in Moscow ensures not only continuity, but also continuity of education. Currently about 40 graduates of the Branch continue their scientific activities in the form of doctoral and candidate dissertations, the publication of their works in journals in the prestigious impact factor ensures a high rating of the Branch.
The high standard of professional training of future specialists ensures a high-quality level of education at the Branch, the workshop participants concluded.
