“TASHKENT BOOK FEST-2019”

On October 3, students of the group URN-18-02, URB-18-01 of the Branch of the Russian State Oil and Gas University named after I.M. Gubkin in Tashkent visited the I-International Book Fair “TASHKENT BOOK FEST-2019”. The exhibition is dedicated to the implementation of the Five Initiatives of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Sh.M. Mirziyoyev, which main goal is to raise literacy and moral education among young people, as well as widely promote the culture of reading.

Students of the Branch visited the ground of the “Yangi asr avlodi” publishing house, where there was arranged the quiz by “Book.uz ”, participated in presentations of the books such as “Aytgil du’stim nima building Vatan uchun” by Iqbol Mirzo and “Shamol ku’shig’ini tingla” by Haruki Murakama”.

In addition, students got acquainted with the exhibition of new literary works of Uzbek and foreign authors, as well as met with employees of various publishing houses. Representatives of the publishing departments told students about future plans, published books for children and adult readership. Moreover , there was going exchange of views on the preferences of young people for reading books.

Namazova Sh.A., Usmanova A.A., Abdullaeva D.U., teachers of the "Social and Humanitarian Disciplines" department of the Branch attended the exhibition.
