Republican contest "Yagonasan, Mukaddas Vatan!"
The Branch of the Russian State University of Oil and Gas (NRU) named after I.M.Gubkin in Tashkent city held a Republican contest “Yagonasan, Mukaddas Vatan!” among students of higher educational institutions.
The elegant decoration and technical design of the creative platform vividly emphasized the high status of the creative project organized in pursuance of five initiatives of the President of Uzbekistan, in particular, familiarizing young people with art and culture.
Inviting an authoritative jury was another indicator of the level of the republican competition and, at the same time, guaranteed an objective assessment of the performances, in particular, from the vocal side, the content and music of the composition, artistry, but, most importantly, the ideological nature of patriotic songs. The experts included such famous cultural and art figures of the country as Galina Melnikova, People’s Artist of Uzbekistan, Honored Worker of Culture and Honored Artist, Honored Art Worker of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Professor Dilorom Amanullayeva, Honored Artist of the Republic Marat Khakimov; a famous songwriter, playwright, laureate of the “Taron” award Ibragim Jiyanov.
It is noteworthy that the event was launched with a thematic video about the sights of Uzbekistan. The demonstration of architectural monuments from the UNESCO World Cultural Heritage List has become a kind of reminder of the cultural and spiritual continuity of the great ancestors for the students of the republic.
“Since ancient times, Uzbekistan has been considered a bridge between countries and peoples, the crossroads of ancient caravan routes, the meeting place of languages, cultures and civilizations,” the project leader recalled.

The creative atmosphere in a wonderful university can be felt from the very first minutes of being here,” noted Galina Melnikova, the People’s Artist of Uzbekistan, in her welcoming address. - Surprisingly comprehensive training at the Branch: students were awarded medals of the International Olympiad for many subjects. She expressed the gratitude to the administration and teachers of the university for the moral education of students.
According to the decision of the jury, the names of the winners were announced which all were awarded with diplomas and mementoes:
1st place: Branch of the Russian State University of Oil and Gas (NRU) named after I.M.Gubkin in Tashkent,
2nd place: Turin Polytechnic University in Tashkent,
3rd place: Branch of Moscow State University named after M.Lomonosov in Tashkent,
4th place: INHA University in Tashkent.
As the co-chairman of the jury Dilorom Amanullaeva commented on the contest, that all the students prepared heartfelt and very sublime compositions praising the beauty of their native land, their beloved capital. They managed to convey the atmosphere of kindness, joy, pride in their homeland. It was felt that the words of the songs performed by the children were close to the children, which they seemed to have passed through their hearts, which meant patriotism and respect for traditions were not just words for them.
