The students of Gubkin University were hosted by the Russian winter

Hard frosts, snowy woods, ice hockey competitions and a ski marathon, as well as a whole range of excursions and educational events were organized for Gubkin students from Tashkent at the XI Field Training of the Active Students of Students’ Organizations of the Russian State University of Oil and Gas (NRU) named after I.M.Gubkin at the recreation center “Zaluchye”.

The field trip to the XI seminar of student organizations of Russia and Uzbekistan was organized by activists of the youth organization of the the Russian State University of Oil and Gas (NRU) named after I.M.Gubkin in Tashkent in order to develop and strengthen friendly relations of students of the two countries, to stimulate gifted students in scientific and creative directions. This educational event was held from February 14 to 17 at the recreation center “Zaluchye” the Tver Region of the Russian Federation.

The delegation headed by the deputy dean for the work with the youth Furkatjon Rikhsievich Mirkamalov included the following members of active students: Malika Karimova - a 3rd year student of the group UGR 16-02, second-year students Ulugbek Mirzaakhmedov (group UTS-17-01); Jasurbek Tulaganov (URG-17-01), Umidjon Obobakhromov (URG-17-01); Amal Sabitov (UGR-17-02).

In Moscow, a delegation from Uzbekistan met with the leadership of the university after which they were organized a tour around the high-tech control center for the development of oil and gas fields, the Offshore Drilling Center, and were familiarized with the work of the scientific library, student union committee, the university scientific community center and media-centre.

At the recreation centre “Zaluchye”, after accommodation in comfortable cottages, students started studying process. As part of the on-site seminar, student teams, each of which consisted of 14 participants, were trained in a number of thematic blocks with case studies, including professional orientation. Every day was painted literally every minute, time flew by unnoticed: skits, games, quizzes and even the birthday of one of the Gubkin students ... In particular, the guests were especially impressed by the competitive events and winter sports competitions in the program. In addition, students were really astonished with beautiful snowfalls which are quite rare in sunny Tashkent.

The core event of the seminar for the Uzbeks was the meeting with the rector of the Russian State University of Oil and Gas (NRU) named after I.M.Gubkin, Candidate of Geological and Mineralogical Sciences, Doctor of Economics, Professor V.G. Martynov.

- Field trip in Zaluchye has become a bright event of students’ scientific life. The trip helped to deepen the existing knowledge, develop teamwork skills, and make new friends. In particular, I would like to express my gratitude to the management of “Uzbekneftegaz” JSC and the Branch for the opportunity to participate in the project, - says a student Malika Karimova.
