Overview lecture by the representative of “ERIELL” company

In compliance with the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan as of July 27, 2017 №  PD-3151 “On measures for further expanding the participation of industries and spheres of the economy in improving the quality of educating specialists with higher education” and on September 25, 2017 № PD-3287 “On measures for further improvement of activities and strengthening the material and technical base of the Branch of Russian State University of Oil and Gas named after I.M. Gubkin in Tashkent city” with the aim of further developing higher education, improving the quality of education, expanding the integration of science and production on December 13, 2018 the department “Drilling of oil and gas wells” held an overview lecture for students of the 3rd and 4th courses of the RB 16-01/16-02 and RB 15-01 on the topic “Analysis of the causes of complications and accidents during the construction of oil and gas wells, improvement of prevention and elimination methods using the example of the ERIELL Oilfield Services Middle East DMCC in Uzbekistan”.

The lecturer, Bakhtiyor Sattarovich Gafarov, Head of Production and Technical Services of the company, shared his practical experience in drilling operations, process control and measures undertaken to prevent complications, emergencies and incidents during the construction of exploration and production wells. In addition, he explained in detail about the most common types of complications that occur during well drilling, the reasons for their occurrence, as well as methods of preventing them with the help of improved technologies, operational monitoring of the technological processes carried out on the basis of modern monitoring and measuring equipment, wide use of software systems for engineering calculations.

Students received practical information on the production experience of one of the leading drilling and oilfield services company operating in Uzbekistan. During classes, students took an active part in the discussion of this relevant topic. The lecturer provided detailed answers for all questions asked by students during the lesson.

The practice of the participation of specialists of the company “ERIELL Oilfield Services Middle East DMCC” in the educational process of the Branch of the RSU of Oil and Gas named after I.M.Gubkin in Tashkent city will continue.
