"Oil and Gas of Uzbekistan - OGU 2018"
On May 17, within the framework of the 22nd International Exhibition "Oil and Gas of Uzbekistan - OGU 2018", a scientific and practical conference of young scientists was held under the aegis "Introduction of Innovations in the Oil and Gas Industry - a Path to Integration into the World Economy".
Young specialists from departments of Uzbekneftegaz JSC, professors from profile universities and students, as well as young researchers from leading scientific research institutes involved in active research work, took part in the session.
Our Branch was represented by: Ibrahimov H.R.-I. Head of the Department of "Technology of Geological and Geophysical Exploration" with a report on the theme “Using of sequencing - stratigraphic analysis for the development of a methodology for differentiating continental deposits based on the example of the Lower Jurassic deposits of the Sudoche trough" and the student of the group GR-16-02, Fozilov R., with the theme:" Study features of the structure of the Upper Jurassic evaporite sequence of the Bukhara-Khiva oil and gas bearing area for forecasting reef complexes. "
According to the established tradition, the participants were evaluated by an expert commission, which included authoritative scientific figures, leading experts and veterans of the industry:

Experts listened to more than 18 scientific studies and evaluated the work based on their relevance, practical value and depth of understanding by the authors of the tasks facing the oil and gas industry. Following the results of the conference, our employee Ibragimov H. received the second place and was awarded a valuable prize.
It should be noted that working with young people is an important part of the personnel policy pursued by Uzbekneftegaz JSC and the management of the Branch. To date, all the necessary conditions have been created for scientific research and every employee and student has the opportunity to realize their professional and personal potential.
