Closing ceremony Of “Spartakiad-2018”

In our country comprehensive work is being carried out aimed at creating a healthy lifestyle, creating conditions for the population, especially the younger generation, which meet modern requirements for regular physical training and mass sports, strengthening youth through sports competitions of will, belief in their own strengths and capabilities, the development of courage, feelings of patriotism and devotion to the Motherland, the systematic organization of activities on the selection of talented athletes among young people, as well as further development of physical culture and sports.

At the same time the comprehensive measures aimed at wide advertisement and explanation in all regions of our country of the importance of mass sports in the life of the individual and the family, as the basis for physical and spiritual health, protection from harmful habits of young people, with great hopes entering the path of life, creating the necessary conditions for young people to develop their abilities and talents, the improvement of the selection system and targeted training of gifted athletes are considered to important and urgent tasks.

Physical culture and sport are considered to be an integral part of the culture of society and each individual. That is why in our country the great importance was attached to the development of the mass physical culture movement.

On March 10, 2018 the Branch of the Russian State University of Oil and Gas (NRU) named after I.M. Gubkin in Tashkent held the official closing ceremony of the competition “Spartakiad – 2018” among students of foreign universities in Tashkent.

Competitions were held in 7 sports: basketball, volleyball, table tennis, swimming, mini-football, chess, arm-wrestling.

The competition was attended by students from seven foreign universities in Tashkent: Branch of the Russian State University of Oil and Gas (NRU) named after I.M. Gubkin in Tashkent, Branch of the Moscow State University named after M.V. Lomonosov, Branch of Russian economic University named after G.V. Plekhanov, International Westminster University, Management Development Institute of Singapore (MDIS), INHA University, Turin Polytechnic University.

Organized by the Department of Physical Education and Sports of the Branch of the Russian State University of Oil and Gas (NRU) named after I.M. Gubkin in Tashkent sporting event gained great popularity among students, so all competitions were held with the huge presence of fans. It should be noted that these competitions will become annual and traditional.

Our student team won honorable third place in the team event. Our swimmers took the first place in a stubborn fight. Our students - volleyball players won the second place, and the volleyball players - girls, who for the first time took part in competitions of this level, also took the honorable third place. In the chess competitions showing an excellent game, the student of the group RG - 15 - 01 Abdunazarov Durdona won the third place. Basketball team of the students of the Branch took an honorable second place. Our students also showed good results in arm-wrestling and table tennis.

All winners of the “Spartakiad-2018” competitions among students of foreign universities of Tashkent city were awarded with honorary diplomas of various degrees and valuable prizes.

The solemn closing ceremony of sports games “Spartakiad – 2018” ended with a concert program.
