Open lesson in a specialized academic lyceum
In order to ensure economic innovation development, organization and improvement of scientific research activities, increasing the effectiveness of training and the level of knowledge of lyceum teachers, in accordance with the Resolution of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan of 14 March 2017 No. PP-2829 "On measures to further improve the activities of educational institutions of secondary special, vocational education ", the order of the WSIS Center Uzbekistan № 152 from March 18, 2017, the order of the Branch of the Russian State University of Oil and Gas (NIU) in the mountains Tashkent, on March 24, 2017, No. 131-p, developed action plans for working with a specialized academic lyceum. One of the blocks of work is the holding of seminars and lectures by the faculty of the Branch.
February 20, 2018 in a specialized academic lyceum was given a lecture by Kotlyarova Elena Mikhailovna, associate professor, deputy head of the department. Development and operation of gas and gas condensate fields of the Russian State University of Oil and Gas named after I.M. Gubkin in the city of Moscow, head of the department Development of oil, gas and gas condensate fields in the city of Tashkent.
Kotlyarova Elena Mikhailovna: In order to determine the difficult choice of the future profession, it is necessary to imagine what it does and what a person does when he graduates. This issue, which now stands before you, in fact, is solved by many graduates of schools, lyceums, gymnasiums. The branch that I represent is called the Development of oil, gas and gas condensate fields. We prepare bachelors in two profiles: "Operation and maintenance of gas production facilities, gas condensate and underground storage facilities" and "Exploitation and maintenance of oil production facilities". I want to tell a little about the interesting profession of the developer of oil and gas fields. In order to extract gas and oil, which are called blue and black gold, it is necessary to be a specialist of the highest category. To this end, students study specialized disciplines such as oil and gas well operation technology, drilling, well exploration, underground gas storage, development of oil, gas and gas condensate fields, oil and gas field equipment, geology along with higher mathematics, physics, and chemistry of hydrocarbons. Of course, this is not the whole list of disciplines studied in our university. The developer must know everything about the field: be able to predict the "vital" cycle of wells, fields and, in general, the entire deposit for decades to come. This students learn from teachers who work on a permanent basis in the branch. A large staff of faculty members also come to the branch to share their knowledge with students. Graduates of our department work at oil and gas facilities in Uzbekistan, the best students continue their studies at the master's level in the head university, after graduating they return to Alma mater to become teachers.
After the lecture, the students were asked questions. They touched on the future prospects of the profession, career opportunities, introductory literature, the possibility of training in the head university.
After the lecture, a meeting was held with some teachers and a psychologist at the Lyceum, where they expressed their wishes to hold open lectures for teachers of the Lyceum. Students begin to determine the type of higher education they enter into, and of course, the vocational guidance of the lyceum students is very important.
