The current topic of logistics during a pandemic has been considered at the Branch

The round table on the topic: “Pandemic: challenge, consequences, solutions for Uzbekistan" was held with the participation of representatives of “Uzbekneftegaz” JSC in the Branch of the Russian State University of Oil and Gas (NRU) named after IM Gubkin in Tashkent.

The Acting Associate Professor of the Department of Economics of Oil and Gas Z. Usmanov, organized the event which was held in strict observance of all sanitary and hygienic rules.

During the round table, its participants considered such topical issues as the possibilities and prospects for the development of digitalization in industry, export/import - changes in logistics systems in the industry of Uzbekistan.

The following thematic reports of students were heard:

- "Potential for the development of digitalization technology in the industry of Uzbekistan" by Jahangir Bakhadyrov (UEE group 18-01),

- “Transport logistics of Uzbekistan in macroeconomic and transit aspects” by Malika Urakovova (UEE 17-01).

In their speeches, the speakers covered in detail the aspects of using digital technologies such as digital twins and object-oriented design in the oil and gas industry, and also considered the main problems of their implementation.

According to the conclusions of the authors of the studies, the peculiarities of these types of digital technologies directly contribute to the redistribution of the main construction costs in favor of design and reduce the total costs by up to 30 percent.

In addition, the participants of the “round table” were introduced to the logistics system of Uzbekistan at the macro level, where much attention was paid to railway transportation, its changes against the background of quarantine, as well as the main problems of logistics in the oil and gas industry and transit aspects in general.

The lecturers of the Department of Oil and Gas Economics, associate professor O.E. Otto, senior lecturer M.A. Yarkulova, head of the group of the Department of Economics and Planning of “Uzbekneftegaz” JSC, A.Ishkhanov, who took an active part in the work of the round table as experts, highly appreciated economic research on a topical topic of students of the Branch.
