Career guidance work with students of secondary school № 208

As part of the implementation of the Five Initiatives of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, as well as in order to obtain data on the preferences, inclinations and capabilities of students and to develop a flexible system of cooperation between the senior level of school and a higher educational institution on February 11, 2021 at the Branch of the Russian State University of Oil and Gas (NRU) named after I. M. Gubkin in Tashkent, the head of the department “General chemistry and chemistry of oil and gas”, Arslanov Sh. and students of the Youth Union of the Branch organized an excursion for senior pupils of secondary school No. 208 of Tashkent city.

During the excursion, the students got acquainted with the infrastructure of the Branch, the organization of the educational process and students’ leisure time. In addition, in order to instill an interest in the science of Chemistry among students, the guests participated in a laboratory class on the topic “Direct distillation of oil”, where the process of separating oil into separate fractions with different boiling points was demonstrated. At the end of the excursion, the students had a conversation with the students activists of the Branch and expressed a desire to continue their studies at the Branch of the Gubkin Russian State University of Oil and Gas (NRU) in Tashkent.
