Floral offerings to Alisher Navoi monument
Annually at the beginning of February, our country widely celebrates the birthday of Alisher Navoi, the famous philosopher, poet, statesman. As part of the wide celebration of the 580th anniversary of the great poet, thinker and humanist Alisher Navoi, on February 10, 2021, the faculty of the departments “Social and Humanitarian Disciplines”, “Economics of Oil and Gas”, “Foreign Languages”, students of the academic groups of the UTP- 18-01, USP-18-02, as well as employees of the department “Manaviyat va ma’rifat” and for work with youth, organized a spiritual and educational event on the Alley of Writers.
The teachers spoke to the students and explained in detail on the life and creative activity of Alisher Navoi, as well as poets and writers of our country.
The Literary Alley itself is a completely new and unique place in the city of Tashkent, which was built in 2020. It is located in the Alisher National Park of Uzbekistan. In the central part of the National Park there is a monument to Alisher Navoi established in 1991, at the foot of which there is a single ensemble of monuments to outstanding Uzbek writers. The composition includes the monuments of Khamid Alimjan, Gafur Gulyam, Zulfiya, Abdulla Kahkhar, Abdullah Kadiriy, Mukhammad Yusuf, Alexander Feinberg, Oybek, Said Akhmad and many others.
In addition, , a two-story building of the Union of Writers of Uzbekistan has recently been built in the territory of the National Park. Its possibilities are very great: it has a rich library, reading and exhibition halls, editorial offices of literary magazines of Uzbekistan, and it is also planned to open a bookstore, where you can buy the latest novelties from Russian literature.
Navoi is called the founder of the Uzbek literary language and fiction. His legacy is dozens of poetry collections, major poems, prose works, and scientific treatises. We are proud to be the heirs of the great poet who conquered the hearts of readers around the world.
