Requirements to essay
An essay is a work of authorship (coherent text) that reflects the author’s position on any topical issue (problem).
The aim of the essay is to express your point of view and form a consistent system of arguments substantiating the preference for the position chosen by the author of this text.
The essay includes the following elements:
- Introduction. It formulates the topic, substantiates its relevance, reveals the divergence of opinions, substantiates the structure of the consideration of the topic, makes the transition to the main judgment.
- The main part includes:
- formulation of judgments and arguments put forward by the author, usually two or three arguments;
- evidence, facts and examples to support the author's position;
- analysis of counter-arguments and opposite judgments, while it is necessary to show their weaknesses.
- Conclusion. The main judgment is repeated, the arguments in support of the main judgment are summarized, and a general conclusion on the usefulness of this statement is given.
Essay design
The volume of the essay shall be up to 2-3 pages of text in the Word editor.
Font: Times New Roman, size 14, spacing 1.5, all margins 20 mm.
At the top left is the surname, name, patronymic of the author of the essay.
Then, after one space - the title of the essay in bold.
Then, after one skipped interval, the text is placed.
The winner will be announced on February 13, 2021
