Together against corruption

On December 11, 2020, under the slogan “Together against corruption”, active students of the Youth Club of the Branch “Youth against Corruption” and students of the academic group URG-18-02 held a training seminar. As noted by the head of the club, Abdullaeva D.U., seminars, debates and contests dedicated to the International Day against Corruption are held annually as part of the club’s meeting. The seminar considered the issues of legal regulation of anti-corruption, basic principles in anti-corruption, analyzed the mechanism of interaction between the state and civil society.

Dildora Ulugbekovna Abdullayeva noted that the consequences of the existence of corruption in society lead to such consequences as social inequality, embezzlement, appropriation of other people's rights and the weakening of the state. It is noteworthy that in recent years, large-scale reforms have been consistently implemented in our country aimed at preventing and combating corruption, eradicating corruption-generating factors in all spheres of state and social construction. Students Abdurafikov Sh., Abdusamadov N., Askaryants A., Evstafeev E., Rustamov Sh. And Saidullaev T. presented analytical material on the methods and methods of combating corruption in countries with high ratings based on the results of a study by a non-governmental international organization to combat corruption Transparency International. The experience of Denmark, Switzerland, Norway, Singapore and South Korea was studied. The speakers particularly noted the role of youth in combating corruption and civil society, including independence of the media.

In conclusion, the participants agreed that the following factors play a key role in the fight against corruption: intolerance towards corruption in society, raising the legal awareness and legal culture of the population, strengthening public control, priority of measures to prevent corruption, inevitability of responsibility.
