Japanese Professors and Students Visited the Branch
With the aim of exchanging professional experience professors and a group of students from MEISEI University visited the Branch of the Russian State University of Oil and Gas (NRU) named after I.M. Gubkin in Tashkent organized jointly with “Uzbekneftegaz” JSC.
The Director of the Branch, Doctor of Technical Sciences Professor Alexander Maksimenko, Deputy Director of the Branch on Academic affairs, Professor Elzara Yuzlikaeva, Deputy Director of the Branch for Research and Innovation, Associate Professor Khayot Ibragimov, Head of Personnel Training and Development “Uzbekneftegaz” JSC Elmirza Turdikulov, Chief Specialist Denis Sidorov, Professor of MEISEI University Hiromasi Tanaka and Takanori Kawamata participated in the meeting.
As the theater tarts with a hanger, the guests from Japan were introduced in detail with the activities of the Branch upon arrival. In his welcoming address, the Director of the Branch, Doctor of Technical Sciences Professor Alexander Maksimenko noted that, despite its relative compactness, the Branch not only is not inferior in terms of number of achievements, but even surpasses the head university: in the first place, these are victories in international subject-specific Internet olympiads. Currently students from over 70 countries, including one Japanese citizen, are studying at the head Moscow university, and the Tashkent Branch has also set the task of raising the number of students from other countries of the world.
“We hope that this meeting will ensure that Japanese students appear in the Branch, we expect students to exchange students from our universities as well” -said Director of the Branch Professor Alexander Maksimenko.
One of the highlights of the meeting was the presentation of alma mater, brilliantly performed in English by students of the UEE-17-01 group. Asadbek Jamilov, Munisa Israilov, Laziza Nazarov, Malika Urakov, Dilnoza Fazylova voiced video about the achievements of the oil workers of Uzbekistan, as well as about the history of the Branch, areas of training, and leading teachers. Guzal Umirzakova spoke about the work of the Youth Union, Carolina Sulitanofu - the activities of the Student Scientific Society, Ferdavs Makhmudov - new creative projects of the “Rendezvous” studio-theater. According to the academic supervisor of the group, Dinara Taktasheva, excellent knowledge of a foreign language was facilitated by the classes of extra-curriculum activities.
The meeting continued with a tour of the Branch, equipped with advanced multimedia equipment for the audience. During the examination of the Hall of Five Presidential Initiatives, the Deputy Director of the Branch on Academic Affairs, Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences Professor Elzara Yuzlikaeva informed the guests from Japan in detail about the implementation of each of the Five Initiatives of the President of Uzbekistan: both in the republic and in the activities of the Branch. Deputy Director for Research and Innovation Associate Professor Khayot Ibragimov presented the educational laboratories and spoke about the research activities of students.
Further, during a joint seminar, the economics students of the Branch were introduced to the practical aspects of conducting business negotiations in terms of international projects, as well as other relevant topics of training.
As Mr. Hiromasi Tanaka, Professor at MEISEI University has noted, he is conducting training seminars for specialists in the oil and gas industry, including “Uzbekneftegaz” JSC and plans to learn how international cooperation is implemented in practice based on the results of today's visit to the Branch universities in Uzbekistan. In addition, Professor Hiromasi Tanaka said that all ten students of MEISEI University who arrived with him also specialize in the oil and gas sector: they are developers of a specialized application. According to Professor Takanori Kawamata, the students of the Branch expressed themselves to be motivated, competent and very passionate about future specialists, demonstrated erudition, excellent training, but, most importantly, courtesy and good education. The results of the seminar are very important for us: they will be reflected in the control research section”, - said Professor Takanori Kawamata.
