The Youth Against Corruption

On October 16-17, 2019, in the framework of the activities of the club of the Branch of the Russian State University of Oil and Gas (NRU) named after I.M. Gubkin in Tashkent “The Youth Against Corruption”, there was held a meeting with students of academic groups UEE-18-01 and URG-17-01. The head of the club, a senior lecturer of the "Social and Humanitarian Disciplines" department Abdullaeva D.U. spoke about the goals and objectives of the club, about areas of activity and expected results. It has been noted that the main goal of the club's residents is to combat corruption in society and enhance legal culture and legal awareness of students. During the meeting, the issues on the forms and types of corruption, legal documents on combating corruption, measures to prevent, detect, and combat corruption offenses were discussed. The meeting participants were introduced to the main provisions of the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan “On Combating Corruption” dated January 4, 2017.

During the meeting, club participants noted that one of the most important tasks is to form an intolerant attitude towards corruption in the mind. In this regard an important role is played by public associations and the active civic position of youth. Further, an exchange of views took place on effective measures to combat corruption and international experience in the fight against corruption in educational institutions.
