Devotion and respect for the motherland

The Branch of the Russian State University of Oil and Gas (NRU) named after I.M. Gubkin in Tashkent celebrated the 30th anniversary of assigning the Uzbek language with the status of the state language. The event was held under motto: "My native language, my history, my destiny, my future."

The event was organized in the form of exciting literary and musical festival: citing outstanding gazelles of Navoi, Rubur Babur, as well as soulful old tunes on the Uzbek national instruments and classical folk dance.

In the course of the whole stage performance, colorful thematic banners and videos were broadcast on the installed monitors and the giant video wall, clearly illustrating both the latest achievements in the important public sphere and the historical perspective of the event.

In this regard the video material “Til - Millat Kuzgusi!” relied on a selection of reports from state television channels presented stories about the implementation of measures to implement the Law. As you know, the Uzbek language is part of a large family of Turkic languages and currently it is spoken by almost 50 million people throughout the world.

The video film “Alisher Navoi Gazelle” introduced the data on the creation of the famous linguistic work on the ancient Uzbek language “Muhokamatul lugatayn” - “Judgment on two languages”, which reveals the richness of the Uzbek language. In his fundamental study, Navoi revealed the colorful, flexible and graceful language of his native language, which, like the Persian language, has all the means of expressing the subtlest nuances of thought. The gazelles of the great poet, who enriched the ancient Uzbek language, represent a vivid example of the beauty and originality of Uzbek literary poetry.

An organic continuation of the topic was the performance with Uzbek national dances by Feruza Sarimsokova, the representative of the Tashkent Higher School of National Dance and Choreography, the winner of the Nihol Prize.

The branch’s students actively participated in the creative part: they performed with the ancient poppy Farangiz Kurbanova, Rustam Khaidarov unmatched recitation of the poem of the great classic.

“We should consider our attitude to the state language as a relation to our independence, devotion and respect for it - as devotion and respect for the Motherland,” emphasizes the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev. Our native language is our culture and invaluable wealth, so we will protect it as the most precious legacy for future descendants”: this event ended at the Branch with the slogan.
