Appointment of the Leader of the Branch Youth Union

On October 4 this year, a meeting of representatives of the district and city Councils of the Youth Union of Uzbekistan with the administration and students of the Branch was held at the Branch of the Russian State University of Oil and Gas (NRU) named after I.M. Gubkin in Tashkent. The guests of this meeting were: Chairman of Mirzo Ulugbek District Council of the Youth Union, N. Shukurov, Leading Specialist of Mirzo Ulugbek District Council of the Youth Union Sh. Ergashev, as well as representatives of the City Council of the Youth Union on employment and on working with volunteer organizations.

At the meeting, the results of the activities of the primary organization of the Youth Union for the 2018/2019 academic year were summed up and the objectives and prospects for the further development of the youth organization within the Branch activities were determined.

The main topic of the meeting was the appointment of the leader of the Branch Youth Union for the 2019/2020 academic year. An introductory speech was made by N. Shukurov, Chairman of Mirzo Ulugbek District Council of the Union of Youth. In his speech, he expressed his gratitude to the management of the Branch for providing all possible support to the activities of the youth organization. Separately, he thanked N. Turabekov and K. Mukhitdinov for their efficient performance as youth leaders and, taking into account the results of the interview, as well as the approval of the Branch management and students he proposed N. Turabekov, Deputy Head of the Department of Geological and Geophysical Exploration Technologies, to the position of the leader of the Branch Youth Union in 2019/2020. The participants unanimously supported the candidacy of N. Turabekov.

Turabekov thanked the guests, the administration of the Branch and the leaders of student groups for high appreciation of his activities and for the trust expressed thereto. He promised to raise the activities of the youth organization to a qualitatively new level, to protect the rights and interests of youth, as well as to assist in the implementation of their progressive ideas and proposals, to seek effective ways to solve the problems and increase the participation of students in the implementation of initiatives of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Sh. M .Mirziyoyev.

At the end of the meeting Deputy Dean for Youth Affairs F. Mirkamalov and leaders of academic groups expressed their warm wishes.
