“A teacher, just for part of your name…!”
On September 30 this year the Branch of the Russian State University of Oil and Gas (NRU) named after Ivan Mikhailovich Gubkin in Tashkent city held a solemn event”dedicated to the national holiday “Teachers’ Day”.
At the beginning of the ceremony the Executive Director of the Branch, Professor Magrupov Abdulla Makhmudovich made a welcoming speech. In his speech, he noted: “The profession of a teacher is considered to be eternal. From the moment of its existence, a person has always felt the need to teach - to transfer experience to the younger generation and to learn - to master. Mentors of youth, as a rule, became the most outstanding and respected people. “Education and elimination of illiteracy constitute the path to peace and creation”. This idea naturally harmonizes with the famous Hadith, which says: “Strive for knowledge from birth to death”. Nowadays, when the world is rapidly changing, ever new challenges and threats to the stability and sustainable development of nations arise, more than ever before, attention to education, to a spiritual, moral principle, instilling in young people a desire for knowledge, and the need for self-improvement have become very important.
The faculty staff of higher education system has a special mission and specific tasks. Indeed, professional development of the personality takes place precisely at the universities. With our daily, painstaking work, we, dear colleagues, create a Person - a true citizen, parent, person.
Over many years, continuity of generations has been a priority of the Branch’s activities and this resulted in the Order of the Board of “Uzbekneftegaz” JSC according to which in honor of the “Teachers’ Day”, taking into account great contribution to the educating young highly qualified personnel for the oil and gas industry of the Republic of Uzbekistan, our former graduates are awarded with Certificates of Honor and money gifts. They are the Branch Deputy Director for Science and Innovation, Associate Professor Ibragimov Hayotjon Rustamovich, Deputy Head of the Department for the Development of Oil, Gas, and Gas Condensate Fields Akhmedov Mirzaanvar Mozhidjonovich and Deputy Head of the Department of Geological and Geophysical Exploration Technology Turabekov Nodirbek Ulugbekovich.
The teaching staff of the Branch is distinguished by high scientific potential and professionalism. In this regard, for great success in arranging and improving the educational processes, creative and proactive attitude to work, the following teachers were awarded diplomas of the Branch:

The honored guest of the event – Merited Artist of the Republic of Uzbekistan Galina Vitalievna Melnikova, addressed congratulations to teachers and warm words to students which made a great impression on everyone present in the hall.
The event was followed with congratulations of students of the Branch, as well as creative numbers of the dance ensemble “Leyli”, stars of the Uzbek pop band VIA “Shark” and Svetlana Saydieva.
The holiday spirit and positive emotions will remain in the memory of the event participants for a long time.
