The Branch established the Advisory Council for Women’s Affairs

The Advisory Council for Women’s Affairs has been organized at the Branch of the Gubkin Russian State University of Oil and Gas (NRU) named after I.M. Gubkin in Tashkent city.

  Nargiza Nigmatullaevna Muratova, the head of the    “Foreign languages” department has been approved as    the chairman of the transformed organization for            comprehensive support of women of the Branch.

 The issue’s history

  Currently in Uzbekistan the issues of ensuring the   rights and interests of women, enhancing their       economic, social and political activity have been             determined as one of the priority areas of state policy.   Herewith despite the significant activities done in the past years in this area, an efficient mechanism for realizing the interests of women has not been created. Many problems have accumulated on the ground, which solution has implied targeted measures.

In compliance with the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan “On measures to improve the social and spiritual atmosphere in society, further support the institution of makhalla, as well as raising the system of working with families and women to a new level”, the Cabinet of Ministers adopted a resolution on the establishment of advisory councils for women.

Aim and objectives

The main aim of the Advisory Council in the Branch is to ensure the active participation of women in the implementation of socio-economic transformations in life, raise their legal knowledge, protect their legal rights, ensure activity in the public life of society, ensure the protection of the rights of mothers and children, conduct explanatory work in a healthy way life, protect young people from various negative trends, improve their spirituality and morality.

To achieve its goals, the Advisory Council of the Branch will establish public control and carry out the following objectives:

- to provide comprehensive assistance to low-income, disabled and single employees;

- in compliance with the work plan, conduct cultural and educational events in the Branch, creative meetings aimed at educating in the spirit of devotion to national traditions and customs;

- to develop interest in reading books among girls and with this aim on the basis of the Information Resource Center of the Branch to arrange familiarization with the works of world and national literature;

- to provide comprehensive assistance in the form of events with the participation of specialists on the creation of strong and harmonious future family relationships, popularize the experience of exemplary families;

- to promote the development of interest in sports among the students of the Branch and with this aim at times organize sports competitions, create conditions for daily sports, etc.

In this regard, it seems relevant that the composition of the Women’s Council of the Branch is planned to be represented by employees of all structural divisions, which will allow covering the interests of all women of the Branch.

Nargiza Muratova started her career in the Branch of in 2011 as a teacher in the Foreign Languages department: over the years, she has proven herself as a highly professional, conscientious and dedicated academic supervisor to educating future oil and gas industry specialists. Since 2017, she has been appointed head of the “Foreign Languages” department. She is highly respected among the work collective, colleagues and students, she was awarded certificates of honor and letters of thanks. 

- With the prayers of our mothers, the dedication of women, peace and prosperity in the country are strengthened, our daily hard work yields its results, and life is decorated with the light of kindness, filled with even deeper meaning, the President of Uzbekistan emphasized in his speech at a festive event in Tashkent dedicated to March 8, International Women’s Day. In this regard, it seems necessary to note that in the Branch, women make up a large number of employees, including in leadership positions: conscientiously fulfilling the official tasks assigned to them, they contribute to the further development and improvement of the activities of the well-known forge of industry personnel. In addition, it is no coincidence that the people say that the hand that rocks the cradle rules the world. In compliance with the high objectives set, the organization of the Women’s Affairs, the Branch will make every effort to implement them, fill the current educational process with new ideological content, - said Nargiza Muratova, the Chairman of the Advisory Council for Women.
