Preserving the Ancestral Heritage

The event, devoted to Muhammad Rizo Agahi, a prominent representative of nineteenth-century Uzbek literature, was held at the branch of the Russian State University of Oil and Gas (NRU) named after I.M. Gubkin in Tashkent.

The participants of the event - students of academic groups UTP-16-01 and URG-16-01 prepared a presentation on the life and work of the classic, poetry works of Agahi, written in the words of the poet poppy, were heard.

As student URG-16-01 Shahran Hamraev noted, the work of a prominent scientist, talented writer, poet, historian and translator Muhammad Rizo Agahi takes a special place in the history of Uzbek culture.

The gazelles, muhammas, musaddases, rubyes, masnevi of Agahi written on social, educational, didactic, and love topics are distinguished by a high artistic level, the poet’s rich inner world is revealed. In addition, aversion to cruelty, despotism, fanaticism is expressed and the poet’s respect for a simple worker is emphasized. The poet speaks on behalf of the people, conveys his thoughts, aspirations, dreams.

The student of the group URG-16-01 Vladislav Smelov in his speech also emphasized that Agahi is known as a subtle lyricist, a talented representative of the Navoi school.

At the end of the creative evening, students presented a clip with the song of the Uzbek artist to the words of the classic.

The work of Muhammad Rizo Agahi is a golden heritage and a national treasure of the Uzbek people as participants of the literary event concluded.
