VISITING THE OLYMPIC GLORY MUSEUM

 

On January 19, 2018 students of the RB-15-01 group of the Branch of the Gubkin Russian State University of Oil and Gas (NIU) named after IMGubkin visited the Museum of Olympic Glory of the Republic of Uzbekistan under the supervision of the group's curator M.Mustayev. The museum was founded on September 1, 1996, at the opening of which the First President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Islam Abduganievich Karimov and the President of the International Olympic Committee Juan Antonio Samaranch participated.

The guide told about the honorable exposition presented to the museum by the First President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov, the awards given to him for his outstanding contribution to the international Olympic movement, the development of sport - the Golden Order of the International Olympic Committee, the Golden Order of the Asian Olympic Council, the Golden Necklace of the International Wrestling Federation, The Golden Order of the International Kurash Federation, as well as cups and souvenirs. The museum exhibits a large number of rare medals, cups, commemorative coins, torch marks, souvenirs, stamps, art paintings, sports equipment and clothing, printed products related to the history of the Olympic and Asian Games, world championships, the continent of prestigious international competitions. The excursion left an indelible impression, the students received interesting information about the highest achievements of our athletes in the Olympic Games and international competitions.
