BASKETBALL CUP COMPETITION AMONG INTERNATIONAL HEU
Sports competitions are considered one of the most efficient forms of organizing mass health-improving and sports work. Competitions act not only as a form, but also as a means of enhancing the general physical, sports-applied and sports training of students.
Health is a determining factor in the formation of human happiness and determines the success of social and economic development. Hypodynamia, hypokinesia, violation of the diet and daily routine are characteristic of most of the urban population, and especially people of mental labor, which include students of higher educational institutions.
In order to attract young men and women to physical education and sports, to activate mass sports and promote a healthy lifestyle, in the sports complex of the Branch of Russian State University of Oil and Gas (NRU) named after I.M. Gubkin in Tashkent, basketball competitions were held among students of Branches of international higher educational institutions in Tashkent. The competition is organized and dedicated to the “The Constitution Day of the Republic of Uzbekistan”.
The competition was attended by teams from the Westminster International University, the NRNU MEPhI Branch in Tashkent, the National University of Uzbekistan named after Mirzo Ulugbek and the Branch of Russian State University of Oil and Gas (NRU) named after I.M. Gubkin in Tashkent. The general management of the organizations during the competition was carried out by the sports club “I.M. Gubkin” and the department of “Physical education and sport”. The competitions were held in accordance with the regulations on the holding of basketball competitions.
As a result of a stubborn struggle, the places were distributed as follows:
1st place - the team of Westminster International University
2nd place - the team of the Branch of Russian State University of Oil and Gas (NRU) named after I.M. Gubkin in Tashkent.
3rd place - the team of the NRNU MEPhI Branch in Tashkent.
