“PUSHKIN IS A GENIUS OF ALL TIMES”

On June 4, 2021, the Information Resource Center of the Branch of the Russian State University of Oil and Gas (NRU) named after I.M. Gubkin in Tashkent, hosted a literary and poetry event dedicated to the 222th anniversary of the birth of the great Russian poet A.S. Pushkin. This event brought together representatives of the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Uzbekistan, JSC “Uzbekneftegaz”, as well as leaders of the Youth Union of these organizations, methodologists of the Russian language of the department of public education, teachers of lyceums, colleges and schools, as well as teachers of various universities of the republic.

The honored guests of the evening were the head of the “Rossotrudnichestvo” Representative Office in the Republic of Uzbekistan Mikhail Valerievich Vojdaev, coordinator of educational programs of this organization Irina Vladimirovna Suljina, member of the Board of the Russian Cultural Center of Uzbekistan Lyudmila Mikhailovna Balabanova, member of the Union of Writers of Uzbekistan, poet, translator, journalist Humoyun Akbar. Among those invited is the rector of INKhA in the city of Tashkent, Jalalov Muzaffar Mukhitdinovich.

Deputy Director Kamol Nurulhakovich Gafurov made a welcoming speech on behalf of the Executive Director of the Branch. In his speech, K.N. Gafurov expressed his gratitude to the guests for their participation. It was emphasized that Pushkin is the first Russian writer of indisputable world significance. He was the creator of the national Russian literary language. Guided in his work by the realistic principles of artistic reflection of reality, the great poet relied on the language of the people.

In an atmosphere of high creative enthusiasm and emotional and romantic perception of Pushkin’s poetry, the main idea of ​​the evening sounded - recognition of the poet's genius and talent, who has become a truly symbol of Russian national culture.

Speaking about the unique and inimitable Pushkin heritage, the head of the Rossotrudnichestvo office in the Republic of Uzbekistan M.V. Vozhdaev noted that the poet gave the artistic word strength, logic and beauty of form. He is the founder of the modern Russian literary language, the most authoritative literary figure of the 19th century. The speaker drew attention to modern methods and techniques for the development of language skills in educational institutions, the experience of cultural colloquial speech and communication, communicative methods of interchange of information, outlined the importance of knowledge of the literary and artistic creativity of poets, writers, leading experts in this field.

Coordinator of educational programs of the Representative Office of Rossotrudnichestvo I.V. Suljina, spoke about the life and work of Pushkin, which are recognized as an inexhaustible source of inspiration. The poet's creative heritage is so great and modern, his life is so amazing, rich and multifaceted that it makes us turn to his brilliant works again and again, the speaker noted. The influence of A.S. Pushkin was always so strong on the minds and souls that not a single period of Russian literature passed without discussions about him and about his creative performance.

Then the floor was given to teachers of the Russian language and literature of secondary schools, academic lyceums and higher educational institutions of the republic. In their speeches, it was emphasized that Pushkin’s work paved the way for Gogol, Turgenev, Tolstoy and Chekhov. As a result, Russian culture turned into a leading voice to which the entire cultural world had to listen. Indeed, Pushkin's talent was not only enormous - it was specific. Pushkin knew how to penetrate into the spirit of different cultures and eras, and his wide awareness in world literature played a role in this. Pushkin's creative development was rapid. It is no less important that it was conscious - the poet clearly felt the boundaries of his work. These moments are usually marked by the final revisions of the written and the creation of the greatest collections.

In recent decades, Humoyun Akbar has devoted his activities to translating poems and poems by Pushkin. Another collection of translations was presented to the attention of those present. Favorite excerpts from poems and stories of the great poet were performed in Uzbek.

Member of the Board of the Russian Cultural Center of Uzbekistan L.M. Balabanova spoke at the evening. She noted that in his works Pushkin glorified the triumph of Life, the highest manifestation of which was creativity. His name is associated with the awareness of the world significance of literary genres. Pushkin created literature, which is recognized not only as a fact of Russian culture, but also as the most important moment in the spiritual development of mankind.

At the end of the poetry evening, Pushkin's poems were performed by students of secondary schools, academic lyceums, as well as students of the Branch. Then there was demonstrated a video material dedicated to the poem “Eugene Onegin”, prepared by the creative group of the student theater studio of the “Rendezvous” of the Branch.  

As a gift to the Branch, the poet Humoyun Akbar presented the author's collection of translations of poems and poems by Pushkin. The literary and poetry evening was held in a warm and creative atmosphere.
