Dear compatriots!

A particular attention of the whole world is paid to the COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic. The world scientific community mobilizes all its intellectual potential in order to prevent the wide spread of the disease, to drastically reduce human casualties and eliminate this danger.

Under the leadership of Shavkat Mirziyoyev, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Government of Uzbekistan is undertaking decisive measures to prevent the spread of infection among the population in order to safely lead the people through this test.

The firm position of the head of state, permeated with concern for the people, as well as the decrees and resolutions adopted, constitute a powerful foundation for curbing the pandemic and mitigating its negative impact. Huge work is underway to further unite the representatives of 130 nations and nationalities living in the country and, most importantly, ensure their peace of mind.

“I would like to assure you that the state will undertake all measures to prevent the wide spread of coronavirus. However, during these test days, we all - every Uzbek, every department, public representatives - should act as a single fist. First of all, we ourselves are responsible for protecting our makhalyla, our home, our family from the coronavirus”, - these words of the President became a program for us.

In the higher education system, important steps have also been undertaken to mitigate the negative impact of the coronavirus. At the Ministry of Higher and Secondary Specialized Education, higher educational institutions, all necessary measures are being undertaken to combat this terrible disaster.

Dear scientists, representatives of the intellectual society!

The words of the people’s writer of Uzbekistan Aybek - “A great people who created unthinkable miracles in world history, is capable of any business” - are a worthy assessment of our people.

It was always a great honor for us, scientists, educators and intellectuals to go ahead, to show an example of selflessness and courage, especially when difficult times for people come. In these crucial days, we must become an example for all in our spiritual unity, our solid position in life.

The current situation requires continuing the educational process in a remote form. When organizing such a form of training, special attention is paid to fulfilling the curriculum of the current semester on the basis of educational directions and specialties. Electronic resources have been created in all the studied disciplines; they are placed on the distance learning platform of each university.

We call upon you, respected teachers and educators:

• set an example in communicating to the population, especially youth, the essence of the President’s addresses and their implementation;
• assist the government in supporting state policy to eliminate the coronavirus pandemic that has penetrated from outside, and to prevent the spread of infection;
• actively participate in organizing online lessons, preparing presentations for video lectures, seminars and practical classes in subjects, their placement on relevant sites;
• provide at a high level the content, quality and vitality of classes;
• increase the interest of students in classes and increase their activity;
• via mobile communications and the Internet to raise to a new level the attitude of young people to their profession, culture, art and literature;
• staying at home, using electronic mass media and social networks to widely publicize the noble work among the public to combat the disease and reduce its negative impact on our lives.

Dear students, young people!

You are our support, the future of the nation, the builders of the new Uzbekistan.

So that this turbulent situation arising from coronavirus does not prevent you, our dear children, from getting a quality education, everything from the country’s leader to employees of the public authorities, from rectors to teachers - care about the benefits and meaningful organization of these days.

Addressing you separately, the President said: “Dear children, do not waste time in vain! Learn online lessons hard. Read books, increase knowledge, do physical education and sports every day”. These words should become an everyday way of life.

It is only necessary to set a goal and strive forward with patience, showing strong will. Idleness, indifference and carelessness, which are the biggest enemies of humanity and progress, are actually more dangerous than coronavirus infection.

Your biggest help in the fight against this invisible evil is to stay at home and not spend time in vain, but to read scientific and fiction, continue to engage in sports.

Dear students!

Work diligently during online lessons through the website of a higher educational institution where you study!

During this difficult period of time, continue to get acquainted with the masterpieces of classical and world literature, enjoy the best pieces of music!

Pay particular attention to quarantine-related procedures, personal hygiene rules, your physical health and cleanliness!

Try to listen more to the precious advice of your parents and respected elderly people!

When communicating on the Internet with school students and young people around you, conduct an explanatory work among them!

The people of Uzbekistan demonstrate to the whole world their consciousness, a high cultural level, strong will and patience.

If we all come together around the distinguished President in the name of a common goal, a dangerous misfortune will recede.

Only together we will turn the new Uzbekistan into a great Uzbekistan!
