Excursion to the Museum of the Academy of Armed Forces of the Republic of Uzbekistan

On November 4, 2019, students of the Branch of the Russian State University of Oil and Gas (NRU) named after I.M. Gubkin in Tashkent made an excursion to the museum of one of the oldest educational institutions - the Academy of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Uzbekistan. The purpose of this study trip is to familiarize students with the history and modern achievements of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

During the study trip, students got the opportunity to see exhibits from the October Revolution, World War II, got acquainted with the documentary chronicle, which played a decisive role in the formation of the combined arms corps at the beginning of the 20th century. In addition, fragments of military equipment of the Turkestan military district that existed until the 80s of the last century aroused great interest. The stands highlighting the activities of the Academy over the years of independence attracted attention. There was a film on the conditions of training of military students within the walls of this educational institution.

At the end of the excursion, the students visited the library fund of the Academy which consists of about 320 thousand books and printed publications out of which over 12.5 thousand belong to educational, historical, and fiction literature.
