“Universiade” -2019: the battle of basketball players in “Umid” Sports Complex

From October 21 to 24, combined teams of universities of four regions - Jizzakh, Syrdarya, Tashkent regions and the capital, which included five students of the Branch of the Russian State University of Oil and Gas (NRU) named after I.M. Gubkin in Tashkent - they fought for the awards of the zonal-regional basketball stage of the Universiade -2019 in “Umid” sports complex.

The team from Tashkent which included the male basketball team of the Branch: Vladislav Korolev (URB-16-01), Vitaliy Yushkov (UTS-17-02), Nikita Vasilchenko (URB-17-01), Anatoly Polyakov (UGR-17-02 ), Khodjimurod Ravshanov (UTP-18-02), confidently outplayed the teams of the Syrdarya region - 39:16 and Jizzakh region - 38:19 on the way to the final.

In the decisive meeting for the first place, the Tashkent region national team opposing the Tashkent team was represented by students of the Uzbek State University of Physical Culture and Sports (Chirchik). Bright and spectacular match ended with a score of 62:47 in favor of the guests.

The four-day zonal-regional basketball marathon is completed. According to experts, the tournament not only demonstrated a high technical standard, but also became a real celebration of sports, peace and friendship.
