Expanding the horizons of cooperation!
In order to establish direct and mutually beneficial cooperation in the field of higher education, science and increase the effectiveness of educational, methodological and research work in accordance with the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated April 20, 2017 No. 2909 “On measures for further development of the higher education system” the branch Russian State University of Oil and Gas (NRU) named after I.M.Gubkin in Tashkent city signed Memorandum of Understanding with the South Kazakhstan State University named after M.Auezov (the Shymkent city, Republic of Kazakhstan).
South Kazakhstan State University named after M. Auezov, with seventy-five years of history, is the largest university with a developed educational and research infrastructure, is among the top-500 universities of the world (498th according to the QS World University Rankings), prepares bachelor's and master's degrees profile, including "Petroleum engineering".
To achieve the goal of this Memorandum, the parties have reached an agreement to cooperate in the following areas:
- academic exchange of students, and teaching staff for internships (training, industrial, production, research, pre-diploma, pedagogical) practices;
- cooperation in the training of highly qualified scientific and pedagogical personnel and specialists in areas of mutual interest;
- holding lectures, master classes (including online) by faculty and administrative staff of the Parties;
- organizing joint scientific and technical research with the involvement of professors for joint guidance and scientific advice in writing master's and doctoral dissertations;
- holding joint conferences, seminars, symposia, round tables, days devoted to the Parties and other educational initiatives;
- exchange of publications, scientific research, educational and methodical literature, periodicals, information about ongoing events;
- preparation of joint applications for grants in the framework of educational programs existing in both Parties and others.
