Dear colleagues and teachers!

This professional holiday has become truly popular nation-wide. Widely celebrating this significant holiday in our country, first of all we remember our native school, caring teachers, who opened the way to knowledge and taught goodness. Each of us was a pupil, and each of us had a favorite teacher and mentor in his memory, the gratitude to which we kept in our soul. In the words of our great poet and thinker Alisher Navoi, the treasures of the whole world are not enough to fully pay for the noble labor of our teachers.

Life has always showed great demands on the teacher. However, now the teacher should be not only professionally literate, possess the latest tools and teaching technique, but also be aware of the essence of the profound changes that are taking place in society. Currently, more than ever, it is important to teach the younger generation to think independently, make decisions and be responsible for their choices. Our task is to help them become worthy citizens of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

Creative beginning constitutes the heart of the teaching profession. Namely it helps the teacher to learn and understand the world with his pupils every time.

The education of young people with personalities with deep moral principles, high intellectual potential largely depends on selfless, dedicated teachers, caring teachers. Currently, when October 1 is widely celebrated in our country, in the  strategy for five priority directions of the development of the Republic of Uzbekistan for 2017-2021, the Head of our country has paid a particular attention to further improving the education system, building, reconstructing educational institutions, expanding the system of pre-school institutions education, radical improvement of the quality of general secondary education.

Entire assurance of the compliance of educational and academic reforms with the goals and aspirations of our people, especially parents, teachers, students, is an important factor in enhancing the interest of students in obtaining knowledge, protecting them from various ideological threats.

The practical proposals put forward by the head of our state at the 72nd session of the UN General Assembly on the education and upbringing of the younger generation, its rights and interests are another practical evidence of great attention to youth in our country. Based on an analytical, scientific approach, these ideas and initiatives raise the responsibility of our teachers for educating the younger generation.

The President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, referring to teachers and mentors, has noted: “To continue cardinal reforms in the sphere of education and upbringing on the basis of noble ideas and covenants, work aimed at preparing new human resources capable of assuming responsibility for the fate and future of the country is not only the most important task, but also a sacred duty for each of us, and on this path we, first of all, rely on you, dear teachers and mentors, on your knowledge and skills, experience and high professionalism”.

Rapidly changing world makes teachers constantly engage in self-development, expand their own horizons, improve methods of work, master new technologies. Preserving and multiplying eternal values, the teachers of the republic actively introduce innovations, constantly modernizing their pedagogical practices, including with the use of distance learning forms. The experience of many teachers can be considered unique.

Life makes us challenge some issues, and taking measures to solve them, we once again make sure that this depends, first of all, on the education and upbringing of the youth, the formation of its world outlook on the basis of modern knowledge and profound moral education.

Let the kindness and wisdom in the teacher’s heart never fail, the fire of sincere devotion to the work will not go out.
