Olga Kalinina recollects her conversation with Alexander Fainberg: “... I still remember the feeling of flying. His creative evening at the Central House of Officers ... How long did this evening last? Impossible to say. Probably for ages. According to worldly measurements - three hours. All this time he stood in front of the audience and read. He read wonderful poems! Without cribs, without drafts, without stuttering ... He had a wonderful memory. He knew by heart not only all his poems, but also many poems by other poets. And he knew how to read them. Pushkin, Lermontov, Mayakovsky, Yesenin, Tsvetaeva, Akhmatova, Voznesenskiy …...

At the end of the event the participants - a list of poet's awards: this is the Pushkin medal, the title "People's Poet of the Republic of Uzbekistan" - "For a significant contribution to strengthening the independence of the motherland, increasing the country’s international prestige, increasing the culture and spirituality of our people" and - the message of his death on October 14, 2009 in Tashkent ...

A famous poet and writer, editor-in-chief of the children’s environmental magazine “Rodnichok” published in Russian and Uzbek, picked up the baton of memory. The master shared his memories of friendship with Alexander Fainberg, spoke about his love for animals, family values, which he sacredly cherished, about his translations of numerous works of Uzbek authors.

- The event in memory of the national poet of Uzbekistan Alexander Fainberg and a creative meeting with Raim Farhadiy made a huge impression, made you feel the beauty of poetry, understand that true poets are immortal. It was very interesting for us to attend for the same reason, because we write poems ourselves” - said Dilshod Narimov and Fazliddin Kamoliddinov, students of the group URN-19-01.
