Meeting with representatives of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis

On October 14, 2019, the Branch of the Russian State University of Oil and Gas (NRU) named after I.M. Gubkin in Tashkent city held a meeting with the Deputy Chairman of the Committee on Youth, Culture and Sports of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan Saidov Ruzibay Tuychievich and a responsible employee of the Senate administration, member of the Union of Writers of Uzbekistan Turdiyev Azizbek Anvarzhonovich. The meeting has been dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the adoption of the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan “On the state language”. The first, second and third year students, supervisors of academic groups, the faculty staff of the Branch participated in the meeting.

Saidov R.T. in his speech has outlined the essence of the Uzbek language as one of the ancient and richest languages ​​in the world, symbols of national identity and independent statehood of our people, as well as invaluable spiritual wealth of the Uzbek language in the socio-political and spiritual and educational development of the country. In addition, he has  emphasized that on the basis of historical law over the past years, our mother tongue has gained a solid legal base and high status. Today, the Uzbek language is actively used in all areas of our lives - state and public administration, interstate relations, science, education and upbringing, medicine, culture and art, it sounds loudly from international stands. However, in order to preserve the cultural and historical heritage of the native language, it is necessary to work on yourself, continue self-education and enhance your horizons and thinking.

Turdiev A.A. has paid a particular attention to the linguistic foundations in the Uzbek language, grammatical and stylistic content of pronounced phrases and terms. He especially focused on archaisms and neologisms in the Uzbek script. The author read the lines from his own works.

Shukurova L.R. emphasized the importance of introducing young people to the culture of reading, respectful attitude and love for the book, active participation of young people in activities in the framework of student leisure.

Usmanova A.A. noted that the meeting is a confirmation of the Five Initiatives of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan. The conditions created at the Branch are aimed at attracting young people to culture, art, physical education and sports, developing skills in the use of information technologies for young men and women, and enhancing future professional knowledge and skills.

At the end of the meeting students had an opportunity to give relevant questions to the guests.
